Kimmy Mamaril, born in 1995, stands as a luminary in the world of contemporary art, hailing from the artistic enclave of Antipolo. With a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Design majoring in Advertising Arts from the University of Santo Tomas, she honed her craft before embarking on a transformative journey in the advertising industry.
In her art, Kimmy defies convention, weaving context and emotion into her creations. Her work is an exploration of metaphorical narratives and symbolism, requiring viewers to delve deeper to uncover meaning. Each image, while carrying its own significance, collectively forms a new realm of interpretation, challenging the notion of instant understanding.
Kimmy’s juxtaposition of popular imagery tackles complex themes like the digital age, consumerism, and capitalism. Recognized for her talent, she was nominated as one of the artists in the Tuklas Program 2021 of Eskinita Gallery, a program she underwent a one-month mentorship under esteemed artist Alfredo Esquillo.
Since 2017, Kimmy’s captivating works have graced art exhibitions both locally and internationally, reflecting her unwavering commitment to creativity and innovation.
